I ain't reading all that: I'm heading to Europe in the summer of 2026! I'm backpacking through Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and then settling down in Athens, Greece, for a month-long study abroad program.
A Global Perspective
Science is an international endeavor, and understanding different cultures is crucial for future global collaborations. To broaden my perspective before jumping into heavy upper-division coursework, I've planned an extensive European experience for the summer of 2026.
The European Tour
Before my formal studies begin, I will be embarking on a multi-country tour. I'll be navigating the logistics of traveling through Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. This independent travel is a test of planning and adaptability, giving me a chance to experience the history and infrastructure of these distinct nations firsthand.
Academic Immersion in Athens
The cornerstone of the summer is my study abroad program in Athens, Greece, running from June 23 to July 25, 2026. Studying in the birthplace of Western philosophy and early mathematics will be a profound experience. I look forward to immersing myself in the local culture, studying the historical foundations of scientific thought, and connecting with international peers.
